Mövenpick Hotel Winter Park Baku (ACCOR) — Lobby

Baku, Azerbaijan | Area: 380 m² | Year: 2024 | Under the Curatorship of Accor

The Mövenpick lobby in Baku is conceived as a spatial introduction to the brand — an immersive first-contact experience where architecture functions as emotion, identity, and communication.

Designed within Accor’s global hospitality philosophy, the space operates not only as a lobby but as a social and cultural hub. At the heart of the composition is a sculptural chandelier above the bar, which also functions as a hybrid social lounge and VIP reception. Playful art elements — including ice-cream and lollipop installations referencing Mövenpick’s heritage — create emotional engagement and transform the interior into a tool of organic brand recognition.

Warm limestone, matte brass, soft textiles, and subdued lighting form a calm, tactile atmosphere inspired by Baku’s historic fabric and the Caspian landscape. The lobby unfolds as a journey through lounge, library, retail, and VIP zones, culminating in an intimate space defined by a dome-shaped light installation inspired by the art of Sattar Bahlulzade.

The project demonstrates how contemporary hospitality interiors can merge atmosphere, branding, and commercial strategy — turning space into a memorable and shareable experience.
